JOIN PEAK'S ADDITION HOMEOWNER'S ASSOCIATION IN IT'S FIGHT AGAINST THE DCAD TAX INCREASE!!
DCAD has appraised Peak's Addition land values at over market value. The appraisals seem to be based on the lot values for properties that have recently been developed as townhomes on our periphery. Your property is most likely located within one of the several PDs in the neighborhood and may be in the historic district. As such, your property can not be torn down and re-developed as townhomes, or multi-family property. If you are within the bounds of the historic district, your house can not be torn down at all! The algorithm that DCAD is using only looks at what has sold within a radius of our homes, but does not take the restrictions of our zoning into consideration. This tax increase will systematically obliterate our single family neighborhood!
