City holds free Foreclosure Prevention Workshop
Lenders will be on hand to answer foreclosure questions
WHAT: The City of Dallas, the North Texas Housing Coalition (NTHC) and Fannie Mae are working together to assist persons having trouble paying their home mortgage by hosting a free Foreclosure Prevention Workshop.
Attendees will have an opportunity to speak with a HUD certified counselor, mortgage service provider and learn about home retention programs. Lenders are ready to work with borrowers to address their current mortgage situation.
Persons attending the workshop should bring the following information if possible:
- Latest mortgage statement
- Two most recent months of pay stubs (tax returns and W-2 forms if self-employed)
- Hardship letter explaining reason for home loan default
- One-month most recent bank statement
- Budget breakdown explaining monthly expenses
