Baylor Campus Developments

Baylor has several developments planned, including a new Administration building
located off Worth and Haskell, behind the El Mundo Tire store. The land has
been cleared and is being prepared for development of the first building within
the new Baylor PD district. The building will be a four story office building,
constructed of red brick with black awnings on the first floor. Businesses that
will office there or lease space there include: Baylor Police, Credit Union,
MEDCO construction, Baylor's Legal department, CB Richard Ellis. The building
is 85,000 square feet and will have highly landscaped surface parking behind the
building.

Another much larger development will also be taking place soon. Baylor's New
Outpatient Cancer Center will be located at Worth and Hall. This state of the
art facility will be 10 stories and 500,000 square feet. Sammons will become
the in patient hospital and a $100 million renovation of Sammons and Collins
buildings will also take place when the Cancer Center is developed.

Finally, the DHA development that was demolished last year is moving forward and
they are adjusting their plans based on feedback from the neighborhoods. DHA
demolished an old apartment complex of theirs off of Crutcher last year. This
building was adjacent to the Baylor Campus. Their desire was to rebuild a
larger apartment building for housing services. Their current plan is to sign a
long-term lease with Baylor, where 70% of the new units will be used for Baylor
nursing students and dentist students, and the remaining 30% of the units will
be made available to Baylor employees who qualify. DHA still plans to build the
complex, but the units will be for Baylor students and employees. This will be
a much needed service for Baylor and will provide housing for workers who prefer
to live within walking distance of work.
