What is a Certificate of Appropriateness (CA) and where can I find the application?

Within the historic district, there are a few additional rules governing changes to those homes. The rules require some additional steps before getting a building permit for what you may consider to be normal or minor renovation projects.

A Certificate of Appropriateness (CA) is a required document homeowners must obtain bfefore undertaking work on a house witin the Peak's Suburban Addition Historic District. This document ensures that any change to the home comply with the rules of the Historic District. It is required when any new construction or improvements are being made to your home (e.g. painting exterior, replacing windows, building a garage, etc).
